+ Ashley >>
Ashley is a Texas transplant living in the Midwest now. She loves to bring awareness, conversation, and consciousness in all of her travels. She defines conscious travel as reducing your footprint wherever you are and have plans to go. This is not limited to your carbon footprint, but rather your overall output into the world, such as in the way you speak with others to the way you live your daily life. In each of her travels, she has learned from others and tried to leave the most genuine footprint of herself that helped others and to bring about a better world.
She lives by her personal mission: To Remain Teachable. Her desire to continue learning, exploring and connecting communities has brought her to the TTF team, and she is beyond thrilled for all the greatness in store.
+ Maïmouna >>
Maïmouna is from Mali, West Africa currently studying in the US. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had to travel both physically and mentally. Jakiya and other outlets have helped her to explore the idea of home and allowed her to remain inspired mentally through their ventures around the world. The thrill of travel, she realized, is home. The thrill of discovery is home. Will she ever settle? Who knows. But if you ever find a country that has half of Bamako, half of Dakar, and dash of Barcelona-- please let her know.
She has been a part of the TravelingFro community for a while now and cannot wait to play an authentic role in it. She is so excited for the magic that we have in store for you guys.
+ Sojo >>
Sojourner (Sojo) received her first journal before she could even spell her own name— and she hasn't stopped writing since. After a semester in Spain re-ignited this passion, through the lens of travel, she launched her blog sojournies.com. Inspired to learn more, Sojourner returned to teach English with the Fulbright Program in their wine-making region of La Rioja. Making friends, learning new languages, and embracing all cultures no matter where she lands, Sojourner plans to live up to her name by traveling and blogging her way through the world, one wine glass and journal entry at a time.
